We strongly encourage you to read the “Frequently Asked Questions” (FAQs) and “Funding Process” sections before applying for funding.

The Access to Food Fund supports improving physical and programmatic access at California’s nonprofit food banks, food pantries and their local community partners. After completing a self-administered survey, these organizations can apply for up to $10,000 to make their buildings and programs more accessible to the disability communities they serve.

The Access to Food Fund is designed to make specific access improvements to your facilities and programs. It does NOT support purchasing food, routine maintenance, facilities’ expansion, rent, or overhead costs.

The Access to Food project was made possible by a grant from the Vitamin Cases Consumer Settlement Fund. Created as a result of an antitrust class action, one of the purposes of the Fund is to improve the health and nutrition of California consumers.
